You have an upcoming wedding/christening/funeral? I am yours truly and can play anything on request. I have 30 years experience, as church organist, pianist and violinist for special occasions. My base is around London and Surrey, I am prepared to travel further if required. My offer is British/French/German church music (all wedding and funeral marches!), also Jazz/Boogie/Blues/Ragtimes and the Beatles/Simon & Garfunkel/Elton John/Queen. My violin range is from Vivaldi's 4 seasons to Kreisler's Vienna-coffee-house music, to Scott Joplin's Entertainer and Irish folk music.

Barbara played organ at a funeral, the feedback was great and everyone was appreciative of her organ music. We also book her for weddings. Highly recommend Barbara.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I am very flexible and will try my best to adjust to your new timings. So far this has always worked splendidly.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I am open to the iPod/DJ service and we can offer this service for free. I have lots of recorded music which I can play in between sets. If you'd like a DJ service after the final set until the venue closes, we can provide this for an additional £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually take around 30 mins to set up, depending on which instrument you book me. If it's at a church I will familiarise myself with the organ, if on piano I will make sure that my fingers are supple and smooth, and if I play violin for you I will ensure it is well tuned.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set list is crafted from countless performances and learning what works best for various events. Feel free to pick any pieces from the set list, additionally you can make your own suggestions and send me your wish list - which will be granted :-)

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I bring all required equipment, apart from the church organ and the piano of course. If I play violin for you, I will bring the instrument and stand - and the music :-)

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes absolutely. Please send me your wish list and I will perform your favourite music pieces, at no additional cost.
